Abstract:Objective To investigate the assistant diagnostic value of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose(18F-FDG)/positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT)for anemia by analyzing the correlation between 18F-FDG PET/CT multigroup parameters and hemoglobin concentration and the imaging characteristics of patients with anemia. Methods A total of 100 subjects who underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT examination in author's hospital from January to No-vember 2022 were selected and divided into anemia patients(anemia group,n=60)and non-anemia patients(control group,n=40)according to hemoglobin concentration, and the maximum standardized uptake value(SUVmax),mean standardized uptake value(SUVmean),left ventricular lumen and aortic lumen computed tomography(CT)values of bone marrow, liver and spleen were compared, the correlation between the above measurements and hemoglobin concen-tration and 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging characteristics of anemia patients were analyzed. Results The SUVmax and SU-Vmean of bone marrow, liver and spleen in the anemia group were higher than those in the control group, and the CT val-ues of left ventricular cavity and aortic cavity in the anemia group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(all P<0.001);correlation analysis showed that the SUVmax and SUVmean of bone marrow, liver and spleen were negatively correlated with hemoglobin concentration(r=-0.289,-0.319,-0.343,-0.285,-0.406 and-0.373,respectively,all P<0.05),the CT values of left ventricu-lar cavity and aortic cavity were positively correlated with hemoglobin concentration(r=0.754,0.514,all P<0.001);among the 60 patients with anemia, there were 28 cases of ventricular septal hyperdensity sign,29 cases of aortic ring sign,10 cases of diffuse increased radioactivity in bone marrow and 11 cases of splenomegaly or diffuse increased radioac-tivity uptake in spleen. Conclusion Multimodal 18 F-FDG PET/CT imaging can provide new potential indicators and inno-vative research perspectives for the imaging diagnosis of anemia patient.
