Abstract:Objective To evaluate the dietary quality of officers and soldiers with dyslipidemia in a Navy unit by ap-plying diet balance index(DBI),and to provide the theoretical basis for dietary adjustment and nutrition education of of-ficers and soldiers with dyslipidemia. Methods A total of 437 male naval officers and soldiers who underwent annual physical examination in the author's unit in 2023 were selected by cluster random sampling method, and they were divided into dyslipidemia group(n=191)and normal blood lipid group(n=246)according to the results of blood lipids. On the basis of the Military Nutrition Survey and Evaluation Method, the weight method was used to conduct the continuous 4 d dietary survey;and their dietary quality was assessed by DBI_22.Results The age of the officers and soldiers in the dyslipidemia group was mainly concentrated in the 35-45 years old, accounting for 51.31%.The officers and soldiers in the dyslipidemia group had low and moderate excessive dietary intake(71.73%),low insufficient dietary intake(30.37%)and low dietary imbalance(68.59%).The high bound score(HBS),diet quality distance(DQD)and total score of the officers and soldiers in the dyslipidemia group were higher than those in the normal blood lipid group(all P<0.05).The officers and soldiers had an excessive intake of cereals, livestock and poultry meat and eggs, and insufficient intake of fruit and milk.Compared with the normal blood lipid group, the intake scores of cereals, eggs and oils in the dyslipidemia group were higher(all P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that cereals and oils were risk factors for dyslipidemia(all P<0.05).Conclusion The dietary structure of the officers and soldiers with dyslipi-demia is not reasonable. It is recommended to reduce the intake of livestock and poultry meat, eggs, cereals and oils, and increase the intake of milk and fruits appropri-ately to improve the blood lipid level.
