Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of ultra-early rehabilitation nursing on the functional recovery of pa-tients with acute Achilles tendon rupture after minimally invasive knotless anchor suture-bridge repair technique. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 30 patients with military training induced acute Achilles tendon rupture who underwent minimally invasive knotless anchor suture-bridge repair technique by endoscopy in the authors'hospital from March 2018 to September 2022,the patients were divided into control group(n=16)and observation group(n=14)by different nursing methods, control group received conventional rehabilitation nursing and observation group received ultra-early rehabilitation nursing, and all patients completed 1-year postoperative follow-up.The visual analogue scale(VAS)scores of the two groups at 12 h,3 d and 14 d,American society of orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery(AOFAS)ankle-hindfoot scores at 6,12,24 and 48 weeks, patient satisfaction and hospitalization stay after operation were compared between the two groups. Results The VAS scores of both groups showed a downward trend from 12 h to 2 weeks after operation(all P<0.05)and the VAS scores of the observation group at 12 h and 3 d after operation were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The AOFAS ankle-hindfoot scores of the patients increased from 6 weeks to 48 weeks after operation in both groups, the AOFAS ankle-hindfoot scores of patients in the observation group at 24 weeks and 48 weeks after operation were significantly higher than those at 6 weeks(all P<0.05),the AOFAS an-kle-hindfoot scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group at 6 and 12 weeks after operation(P<0.05).The satisfaction of patients in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, but there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The hospitalization stay of the obser-vation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion Ultra-early rehabilitation nursing for patients after minimally inva-sive knotless anchor suture-bridge repair technique of acute Achilles tendon rupture can alleviate postoperative pain, shorten hospitalization stay, improve nursing quality and enhance patients'satisfaction compared to conventional care, which making it worthy of clinical application and promotion.
