Effect of Peiyuan Tongnao Capsule Combined with Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on Emotional State,Brain Neurotransmitter and Event-related Potential P300 in Patients with Post-stroke Depression

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of Peiyuan Tongnao capsule combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)on emotional state,brain neurotransmitter and event-related potential(ERPS)P300 in pa-tients with post-stroke depression(PSD).Methods A total of 106 patients with PSD admitted to the author's hospital from January 2022 to July 2024 were finally included and divided into the control group and the observation group accord-ing to the random number table method,with 53 cases in each.The control group was treated with rTMS,and the obser-vation group was treated with Peiyuan Tongnao capsule combined with rTMS.Clinical efficacy in the two groups was compared.Changes in Hamilton depression scale(HAMD-24),brain neurotransmitter[5-hydroxy tryptamine(5-HT),dopamine(DA)and norepinephrine(NA)],ERPS P300[amplitudes and latencies of mismatch negativity(MMN)and P300]and pro-inflammatory factors[interleukin 6(IL-6),interleukin 1 beta(IL-1β)and tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α)]in the two groups were analyzed,the occurrence of adverse reactions was recorded.Results After 6 weeks of treatments,the total clinical effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05);after 2,4 and 6 weeks of treatments,HAMD-24 scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(all P＜0.05);after 6 weeks of treatments,the levels of 5-HT,DA and NA in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the amplitudes of MMN and P300 were greater than those in the control group,while the latencies were shorter than those in the control group(all P＜0.05),the levels of IL-6,IL-1β and TNF-α were lower than those in the control group(all P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions during treatments showed no statistical difference between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Applying Peiyuan Tongnao capsule combined with rTMS to treat patients with PSD can improve clinical effect and promote improvement effect on patients'emo-tional state,brain neurotransmitter and ERPS P300.
