Abstract:Objective To investigate the incidence and risk factors of military training related low back pain in grassroots officers and soldiers in order to ensure more effective prevention and intervention. Methods The basic infor-mation,low back pain, life style, psychological factors, training methods, training injury publicity and education, and training injuries of other parts of 1 000 grassroots officers and soldiers were retrospectively investigated by questionnaire. The officers and soldiers were divided into non-low back pain group(n=630)and low back pain group(n=327).The in-fluencing factors of low back pain related to military training were analyzed by univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Results The incidence of low back pain related to military training was 34.17%(327/957)among 957 officers and soldiers.Compared with non-low back pain group, the age, serving year, body mass index(BMI)and personal ratios of overloading, longer sitting time, poor sleep quality, insufficient prepare before training, insufficient re-lax after training were significantly higher(all P<0.05).The incidences of training injuries in upper extremities, lower extremities and body(except head and face)in low back pain group were significantly higher than those in non-low back pain group(all P<0.05).The multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that BMI,overloading, longer sitting time, insufficient relax were independent important risk factors for the onset of military training related low back pain of grassroots officers and soldiers(P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence of training related low back pain is high, which has great influence on the training and life of grass-roots officers and soldiers.Health management, active prevention and early intervention aimed at the important risk factors of low back pain are conducive to improving the health level of grassroots officers and soldiers and the combat ability of troops.
