Study on the Efficacy of Sihuang Sanzi Decoction on Young Rats Model with Chronic Eczema

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of Sihuang sanzi decoction on young rats model with chronic eczema.Methods A total of 60 3-week-age SD rats were randomly divided into blank group(0.9％sodium chloride solution ap-plied 0.20 ml),model group(0.9％sodium chloride solution applied 0.20 ml),positive drug group(Mometasone furoate cream applied 0.20 g),Sihuang sanzi decoction low-dose group(crude drug concentration 2.10 g/ml applied 0.20 ml),Sihuang sanzi decoction medium-dose group(crude drug concentration 4.20 g/ml applied 0.20 ml)and Sihuang sanzi de-coction high-dose group(crude drug concentration 8.40 g/ml applied 0.20 ml),with 10 rats in each.Except the blank control group,the other groups were established chronic eczema model.All rats were used medicine continuous for 7 d af-ter successful modeling.The morphology of back skin lesions,spleen index,thymus index,skin histopathological chan-ges and the number of inflammatory cells among each group were compared.Results Compared with the blank group,the back skin lesions of rats in model group were serious,the spleen index and thymus index significantly increased(all P＜0.05),pathological examination showed that the epidermis was hyperkeratosis,the spinous layer was obviously hyper-trophic and infiltrated with a large number of inflammatory cells.Compared with model group,the back skin lesions symptoms,epidermal keratinization,acanthosis and other pathological changes in positive drug group and Sihuang sanzi decoction low-dose group,Sihuang sanzi decoction medium-dose group and Sihuang sanzi decoction high-dose group were improved,the spleen index,thymus index and inflammatory cell infiltration were significantly reduced(all P＜0.05).The results of single effect analysis showed that,compared with before treatments,the back skin lesions scores of rats in positive drug group,Sihuang sanzi decoc-tion low-dose group,Sihuang sanzi decoction medium-dose group and Sihuang sanzi decoction high-dose group were significantly reduced after 3,5 and 7 d of treat-ments,and showed a time dependent manner(all P＜0.05);compared with the blank group,the back skin lesions scores of rats in model group,positive drug group,Sihuang sanzi decoction low-dose group,Sihuang sanzi decoction medium-dose group and Sihuang sanzi decoction high-dose group before treatments were significantly reduced after 3 and 5 d of treatments(all P＜0.05);compared with model group,the back skin lesions scores of rats in positive drug group,Si-huang sanzi decoction medium-dose group and Sihuang sanzi decoction high-dose group after 3 d of treatments were signif-icantly reduced,the back skin lesions scores of rats in positive drug group,Sihuang sanzi decoction low-dose group,Si-huang sanzi decoction medium-dose group and Sihuang sanzi decoction high-dose group were significantly reduced after 5 and 7 d of treatments(all P＜0.05).Conclusion Sihuang sanzi decoction has a good effect on chronic eczema in young rats,with the functions of anti-inflammation,reducing swelling,astringing skin,regulating body immunity.
