Qualitative Study on the Real Experience of Resident Plateau Soldiers After Psychological and Behavioral Training

Abstract:Objective To explore the real experience of soldiers resident in high altitude after participating in psy-chological and behavioral training,and to provide a basis for the implementation of psychological and behavioral training in grassroots units at high altitude.Methods The phenomenological research method of qualitative research was used to conduct semi-structured interviews with 30 soldiers participated in psychological and behavioral training,and the Colaizzi 7-step phenomenological analysis method was used to analyze the obtained data and to extract the theme.Results A total of 5 themes were summarized:inheriting the fine style of revolutionary soldiers;widespread training burnout;senior and junior soldiers were estranged and had differences in abilities;psychological and behavioral training has obvious positive effect on soldiers;and widespread acceptance and expectation of psychological and behavioral training to be better inte-grated into military life.Conclusion Managers should monitor the psychological pulse of high-altitude soldiers,scientifi-cally organize and implement psychological and behavioral training subjects,to effectively promote the mental health of high-altitude soldiers,and to maintain sustained combat effectiveness.
