Abstract:Objective To analyze the influencing factors of length of stay and anxiety in patients undergoing pain-less endoscopic gastrointestinal polypectomy. Methods 388 patients with gastrointestinal polypectomy were investigated with the influencing factors of hospital stay questionaire and the generalized anxiety disorder 7-item scale(GAD-7)by the convenience sampling method, the influencing factors of hospital stay and anxiety were analyzed statistically. Results The length of stay in patients with gastrointestinal polypectomy was 4~13(6.24±1.72)days.Single factor analysis showed that the length of hospital stay for patients with gastrointestinal polypectomy included different ages, history of hypertension, smoking history, whether gastrointestinal symptoms were present at the time of treatment, whether other digestive tract diseases were combined, the site of resection, the size and number of resection polyps, and whether endo-scopic mucosal resection(EMR)and whether titanium clips were used to close incisions(all P<0.05);there were sig-nificant differences in the history of malignant tumor, the size of removed polyps, the site of removed polyps, and the length of hospital stay in patients with gastrointestinal polypectomy(all P<0.05).The multiple linear regression analysis showed that patients ≥60 years old, with gastrointestinal symptoms, complicated with other gastrointestinal diseases, resection of gastric polyp+intestinal polyp, resection of polyp size>1.0 cm,and resection of polyp number>10 were hospitalized for a longer time(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that history of malignant tumor, size of removed polyps>1.0 cm,length of stay ≥10 days, removal of gastric polyp+intestinal polyp were the influencing factors for anxiety symptoms in patients with gastrointestinal polypectomy(all P<0.05).Conclusion Patients aged ≥60 years, with symptoms, complicated with other gastrointestinal diseases, gastrectomy and intestinal polyp resection during hospitalization, resction of polyp size>1.0 cm,resection of polyp number>10 had longer hospital stay, patients with a history of malignant tumors, larger polyps re-moved,longer hospital stays, and gastric and intestinal polyps removed during hospitalization are more likely to experience anxiety symptoms.
