Reliability and Validity Test and Optimal Critical Value Study for Predicting Depression and Anxiety of Perseverative Think-ing Questionnaire Among Recruits

Abstract：Objective To test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the perseverative thinking ques-tionnaire(PTQ)among recruits,and explore its optimal critical value.Methods A total of 1675 recruits from a certain unit were seleced for a questionnaire survey by cluster sampling method,reliability and validity analysis was analyzed by SPSS 26.0 and Amos 26.0 software,and optimal critical value of PTQ for predicting depression and anxiety symptoms was determined by receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve.Results The Cronbach'α coefficients of the Chinese version of PTQ and its subscales ranged from 0.742 to 0.935,the split-half coefficients ranged from 0.632 to 0.940,the test-retest coefficient ranged from 0.535 to 0.764.The total score and subscale scores of the Chinese version of PTQ were positively correlated with rumination,worry,depression and anxiety(P＜0.01).Confirmatory factor analysis sup-ported the second-order single-factor model of PTQ[root mean square error(RMSEA)=0.087,comparative fit index(CFI)=0.922,Tucker-Lewis index(TLI)=0.905,goodness of fit index(GFI)=0.900,normed fit index(NFI)=0.916].The optimal critical value of the Chinese version of PTQ for predicting depression and anxiety symptoms was 15,the area under the curve(AUC)were 0.805 and 0.851,the sensitivities were 77.13％and 87.89％,and the specificities were 71.96％and 68.35％respectively.Conclusion The Chinese version of PTQ shows good reliability and validity among Chinese recruits,and the recommended optimal critical value for predicting depression and anxiety symptoms is 15.
