Effects of Teach-back Method in Diet Health Education for Patients with Atrial Fibrillation After Radiofrequency Ablation

Abstract：Objective To explore the effects of Teach-back method in diet health education for patients with atrial fibrillation after radiofrequency ablation.Methods A total of 60 patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing radiofrequency ablation in author's department from January to December 2021 were selected as the control group,and 60 patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing radiofrequency ablation from January to December 2022 were selected as the observation group.The control group adopted conventional health education mode,and the observation group received health educa-tion mode through the Teach-back method,the mastering rate of diet-related knowledge,the effective compliance rate of diet,the incidence of nausea and vomiting,the score of hospital anxiety and depression scale(HADS)and nursing service satisfactory rate were evaluated on the day of discharge.Results The mastering rate of diet-related knowledge,the effec-tive compliance rate of diet,incidence rate of nausea and vomiting,HADS and nursing service satisfactory rate in observa-tion group were better than the control group(all P＜0.05).Conclusion Teach-back method in management of diet health education applied to patients with atrial fibrillation after radiofrequency ablation can improve the mastering rate of diet-related knowledge,the effective compliance rate of diet and nursing service satisfactory rate,relieve anxiety and de-pression,and reduce incidence of nausea and vomiting.
