Predictive Value of Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte Ratio Combined Hemoglobin on the Benignity and Malignancy of Colorectal Tumors

Abstract：Objective To investigate the predictive value of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)combined hemo-globin on the benignity and malignancy of colorectal tumors.Methods A total of 157 patients with colorectal adenoma(adenoma group)and 143 patients with colorectal adenocarcinoma(adenocarcinoma group)admitted to the author's hos-pital from January 2021 to October 2022 were selected as study subjects.Clinical data of the patients from two groups were collected,and the factors affecting the benignity and malignancy of colorectal tumors were analyzed by univariate and multivariate Logistic regression.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were drawn,and the optimal diagnostic threshold was obtained according to the principle of the maximum Youden index.Results Univariate and multivariate Lo-gistic regression analysis showed that NLR(OR=3.254,95％CI:2.006-5.277,P＜0.001)was risk factor for colorec-tal malignant tumors,and hemoglobin(OR=0.964,95％CI:0.943-0.986,P=0.002)was a protective factor for colo-rectal malignant tumors.ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of the NLR for predicting the benignity and malignancy of colorectal tumors was 0.860,sensitivity and specificity were 64.30％and 90.40％respec-tively;the AUC of the hemoglobin for predicting the benignity and malignancy of colorectal tumors was 0.825,the sensi-tivity and specificity were 72.00％and 81.50％respectively;and the AUC of NLR and hemoglobin combined prediction of the benignity and malignancy of colorectal tumors was 0.903,and the sensitivity and specificity were 73.40％and 92.40％respectively.Conclusion NLR combined hemoglobin has a great predictive value in determining the benignity and malignancy of colorectal tumors,and the sensitivity and specificity of the combined prediction are better than both a-lone.
