Abstract:Objective To investigate the pathogens in soldier patients with community acquired pneumonia (CAP) in Shenyang, and provide the basis for effective prevention and treatment of pneumonia. Methods Seventy-five CAP soldier patients were collected in authors' hospital. The results of sputum culture, drug sensitivity assay, serum atypical pathogen antibodies were analyzed. The clinical data between smoking and non-smoking group, white blood cell and highsensitivity C-reactive protein (CRP) levels were compared. Results Of 33 cases with atypical pathogen antibodies, positive mycoplasma pneumoniae was found in 28 cases, positive chlamydia in 3 cases, positive legionella pneumophila in 2 cases.Among 75 patients,62 of them were tested for sputum culture,26 were positive. The tempreture, cough and CRP levels in smoking group were much higher than those in non-smoking group (P<0.05).No differences were found in white blood cell and infection rate of mycoplasma pneumoniae between two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Mycoplasma pneumoniae is the most common pathogen of CAP patients in Shenyang military soldiers.Bacterial infections are mainly streptococcus pneumoniae and haemophilus influenzae.
