Abstract:Objective To compare the effects of hemolytic and lipid turbidity samples in the preoperative four tests [hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg),hepatitis C virus (HCV),treponema pallidum (TP),human immunodefi ciency virus (HIV)] by chemiluminescence and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Methods A total of 100 positive samples of HBsAg,anti-HCV,anti-TP,and 30 positive samples of anti-HIV were collected, respectively. All specimens were divided into control group and experimental group, meanwhile, the experimental group was treated as mild, moderate and severe hemolytic and lipid turbidity samples by artificial method, and the control group without any treatment. The preoperative four tests were performed in all samples by using chemiluminescence and ELISA,respectively. Results In the ELISA,there were significantly differences between varying degrees of hemolysis and lipid turbidity groups and control group (P<0.05),except anti-TP and HBsAg between mild hemolytic samples and control group (P >0.05).In the chemiluminescence method,no differences were found between varying degrees of hemolysis and lipid turbidity groups and control group (P>0.05).Conclusion The chemiluminescence method has better anti-interference ability than ELISA in detecting preoperative four tests.Chemiluminescence method is suggested to detect the hemolysis and lipid turbidity in the sample, which can effectively prevent the false positives.
