Application of Fast Track Surgery Idea in Perioperative Nursing for Esophageal Carcinoma Patients After Whole Chest Laparoscopic Radical Mastectomy

Abstract：Objective To explore the value of fast track surgery (FTS) idea in perioperative nursing for esophageal carcinoma patients after whole chest laparoscopic radical mastectomy.Methods A total of 77 esophageal carcinoma patients after whole chest laparoscopic radical mastectomy in authors' hospital from January 2012 to November 2015 were analyzed and randomly divided into general group(n =38) and FTS group(n =39).The general group was given conventional perioperative nursing,while the FTS group was applied the FTS nursing.The anxiety in admission and the day of surgery,the pain score at the third day after surgery,stomach and chest tube duration,surgical complications,length of stay and hospitalization expenses between two groups were compared.Results No perioperative death occurred.The anxiety in admission,the pain score at the third day after surgery of FTS group were lower than those of general group (P＜0.01),the chest and stomach tube duration,the length of stay of FTS group were shorter than those of general group(P＜0.01),and the hospitalization expense of FTS group was more cheaper than that of general group(P＜0.01).Conclusion The FTS nursing in perioperative nursing for esophageal carcinoma patients after whole chest laparoscopic radical mastectomy can obviously shorten the hospital stays and hospitalization expenses,improve the speed of rehabilitation.
