Comparative Study on Evaluating Carotid Atherosclerotic Plaque Between Multi-slice Spiral CT Angiography and Color Doppler Ultrasonography

Abstract：Objective To compare the values between multi-slice spiral CT angiography (MSCTA) and color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI) in evaluating carotid atherosclerotic plaque.Methods A total of 150 patients with carotid atherosclerosis plaque were examined carotid by using CDFI and MSCTA,and the advantages and disadvantages of two methods for diagnosing carotid atherosclerostic plaque and vessel stenosis were compared.Results There was a higher consistency in detection rate of carotid atherosclerotic plaque between MSCTA and CDFI(κ =0.925,P＜0.05).But there was no significantly differences in the detection rate of plaque characteristics and atherosclerostic stenosis degree between two methods (P＞0.05).Conclusion MSCTA and CDFI have preferably consistency in detection of carotid atherosclerotic plaque.
