Resilience and Its Influence Factors of Army Patients in the Outpatient Waiting Room

Abstract:Objective To explore the feature of resilience and its influence factors of army patients in the waiting room of outpatient department,and provide a theoretical basis for improving the prognosis of army patients' diseases.Methods A total of 90 army patients in the waiting room of outpatient department were evaluated by resilience questionnaire,simplified coping style scale and general self-efficacy scale.Results There were significantly differences in resilience scores of army patients with different marital status and income levels(P<0.05).There were obviously differences in scores of positive coping style and self-efficacy between high and low resilience of army patients(P<0.01).Self-efficacy was positively correlated with three resilience factors,including hardiness,powder and optimism.Positive coping style was positively correlated with hardiness,but negative coping style was negatively correlated with hardiness.Self-efficacy and positive coping style were positive predictors of resilience and hardiness,respectively,but negative coping style was a negative predictor for hardiness.Conclusion The resiliences of army patients in the waiting room of outpatient department exist group differences.In order to improve the prognosis of army patients' diseases,the resilience can gain much more by increasing self-efficacy and positive coping style.
