Abstract:Objective To explore the intermediary of coping style on training burnout and achievement motive among soldiers. Methods A total of 1600 soldiers present in Xinjiang were selected randomly in cluster sampling and investigated by achievements motive scale(AMS),simple coping style questionnaire(SCSQ)and self-editing fatigue questionnaire of soldier training.Total scores of fatigue questionnaire were listed in descending order, and respectively selected 27%of front and back ends as high-score group(n=432)and low-score group(n=416).The differents of coping style and achievement motive,as well as the intermediary of influence factors and coping style were compared and analyze between two groups. Results The scores of pursuing achievement motive and positive coping style in high-score group were lower than those in low-score group, meanwhile, the scores of avoiding failure motive and negative coping style in high-scores group were higher than those in low-score group(P<0.01).The results of multivariate stepwise regression analysis showed that pursuing achievement motive, avoiding failure motive, positive and negative coping style were in regression equation. The intermediary path analysis showed positive coping played a partially mediating role between pursuing achievement motive and training burnout, and might represent as much as 17.91%of the total effects.Negative coping style was partially mediated between avoiding failure motive and training burnout about 9.46%.Positive coping style was partially mediated between avoiding failure motive and training burnout about 4.44%.Conclusion The motive achievement and coping style have a predictive effect on training burnout.Coping style plays a partially mediating role among pursuing achievement motive, avoiding failure motive and training burnout.
