Analysis on Pure Tone Audiometry Results of 1034 Metro Drivers

Abstract：Objective To analyze the influence of running noise in metros on metro drivers' hearing and provide the basis of occupational disease prevention.Methods Pure tone audiometry reports of 1034 metro drivers were retrospectively analyzed in physical examination center of Guangzhou general hospital from February 2013 to February 2015.Results In all 1034 metro drivers, hearing loss of 210 were found (20.31%), mild in 140, moderate in 62, severe in 8.Conclusion Noise of metro can cause hearing loss.With the increase of working years, incidence of hearing loss grows.The detection of pure tone audiometry has guiding significance in prevention and cure of metro drivers with hearing loss.
