Analysis of Major Performance Indexes Testing of Medical Computed Tomography Machines

Abstract：Objective To detected major performance indexes of computed tomography (CT) machines,in order to understand the state of CT performance,and ensure CT machines working normally and diagnosis accurately.Methods Major performance indexes of 5 CT machines,such as noise,low contrast resolution,uniformity,layer thickness,spatial resolution,were detected with Catphan500 CT performance test phantom.Results In addition to noise,the passing rates of others indexes were 80% at the first testing,and the qualified rate of each index reached 100% after which was debugged by engineers.Conclusion The detection of noise,low contrast resolution,uniformity and so on can objectively obtain the working condition of CT machines.Regular quality inspection,standard quality control operations and personalized index detection can well meet the normal medical working.
