Clinical Analysis of Pregnancy Outcome of Elderly Parturient Women

Abstract:Objective To investigate the pregnancy outcome of elderly parturient women.Methods Fifty-nine elderly parturient women over 45 years old in authors,hospital from June 2011 to June 2016 were retrospectively analyzed and researched as observation group,and at the same time,200 pregnancy women over 20 years old less than 34 years were selected in the same period as control group.The general situation,complications,perinatal outcomes and delivery mode in two groups were compared.Results The incidences of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy,gestational diabetes mellitus/diabetes mellitus (GDM/DM),premature,placenta previa,placenta accreta,uterine fibroids,anemia,infertility and neonatal malformations were compared between two groups with significant difference (P<0.05).The postpartum hemorrhage,premature rupture of membranes,abnormal amniotic fluid volume,macrosomia,fetal distress,neonatal asphyxia,perinatal death and incidence of low birth weight infants were no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Parturient women over 45 years old have more complications,higher incidence rate of infertility and malformed neonate,and more attentions of perinatal care should pay to them.Identification,diagnosis,pregnancy complications treatment and detection of neonate malformation early will promote the health and safety of mothers and infants.
