Abstract:Objective To analyze impact of ovarian function and glucose metabolism by Diane-35 (containing approximately 20 mg of cyproterone acetate and 35μg of ethinylestradiol) combined with metformin treatment in polycystic ovary syndrome patients with abnormal glucose metabolism. Methods A total of 100 abnormal glucose metabolism patients with polycystic ovary syndrome from June 2013 to January 2015 inauthors hospital were divided into control group and experimental group by drawing lots(n =50).The control group was treated with Diane-35,and experimental group was treated with metformin on the basis of control group'treatment. The hemorrhagic hormone levels, indexes of sugar metabolism, body mass index (BMI) and homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance (HOMA-IR),ovarian volume changes by ultrasonic measurement, and menses return, ovulation and pregnancy rate after treatment were compared between two groups. Results It was no differences in hemorrhagic hormone levels, indexes of sugar metabolism, ovarian volume,BMI,waist-to-hip Ratio (WHR) of two groups before treatment (P>0.05).The follicle stimulating hormone (FSH),luteinizing hormone (LH),estradiol (E2),testosterone (T),fasting blood glucose (FBG),fasting blood-insulin (FINS),HOMA-IR,ovarian volume,BMI and WHR of experimental group after treatment was lower than control group, respectively (P<0.05).The menses return, ovulation and pregnancy rate of experimental group was higher than control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Diane-35 combining with metformin treatment creates more effective in glycometabolism of polycystic ovary syndrome patients with abnormal glucose metabolism, improves ovarian function and increases pregnancy rate.
