Abstract:Objective To observe the protection of Iguratimod on the kidney of Pristane induced systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) mice. Methods Thirty BALB/c mice were randomly divided into control group, model group and Iguratimod group (n =10),respectively,and two groups of them were induced by Pristane except for the control group. The Iguratimod group were given 50mg/kg d Iguratimod, and the other two groups were given by gavage 50mg/kg d normal saline. The concentration of urinary protein, the levels of anti-ds-DNA antibody and CR in serum were detected regularly. The pathological changes of the kidneys were observed by HE staining. Results After treatment, the urinary protein content, the levels of anti-dsDNA antibody and CR of the mice in serum were significantly decreased as compared with model group (P<0.05).HE staining showed that the morphological structure of normal kidneys was normal in the control group. There were a lot of inflammatory cells infiltration in the astrocyte and renal interstitium in the model group, meanwhile the irflammatory lesions in the treatment group were obviously alleviated. Conclusion Iguratimod can effectively protect against the damage of renal tissues in systemic lupus erythematosus mice, and also can alleviate the condition of lupus mice.
