Abstract:Objective To investigate the association between polymorphism of CYP19A1 gene(rs10046) and susceptibility of breast cancer through a Meta-analysis.Methods The case-control studies from PubMed,Embase,CNKI,VIP,and Wanfang for the association between CYP19A1 gene (rs10046) polymorphisms and breast cancer were searched. The pooled OR with 95 %CI were calculated to assess the association strength using Meta methods by Stata 11.1,and heterogeneity and publication bias were evaluated. Results Fifteen case-control studies with 9241 cases and 12 681 controls were analysed. There was not any obvious difference between CYP19A1 gene (rs10046) polymorphism and the susceptibility of breast cancer(T vs.C:OR =0.929,95%CI:0.778-1.110,P=0.420;TT vs.CC:OR =0.902,95%CI:0.671-1.211,P =0.492;TC vs.CC:OR=0.996,95%CI:0.929-1.067,P =0.909;TT + TC vs.CC:OR=0.934,95%CI:0.784-1.112,P =0.442;TT vs.CC + TC:OR =0.920,95 % CI:0.699-1.209,P =0.548).Similar results were emerged in the stratified analyses of the ethnicity(Caucasian and Ascian),control group source(hospital-based and populationbased)and literature quality(high-score and low-score).Conclusion There is no significant correlation between CYP19A1 gene(rs10046) polymorphism and the susceptibility of breast cancer.
