Assessment and Inspiration of Buildings in Myanmar M7.9 Earthquake

Abstract：This article explores the impact of the M7.9 earthquake that occurred in Myanmar on March 28,2025,on building construction,especially the damage to structural safety and material damage of different types of build-ings.Researches have shown that Myanmar's current seismic design standards have deficiencies.By combining nu-merical simulations and typical cases to verify seismic performance and disaster assessment,comprehensive im-provement measures covering seismic reinforcement technology,policy and regulatory optimization,and public education and training have been proposed to provide scientific basis and technical support for building protection.
