Abstract:As Sichuan Province has frequent disasters and complex disaster chains, the assessment of urban resilience in Sichuan Province plays an important role in the construction of resilient cities and disaster prevention and mitigation. This study used the mandatory determination method, coefficient of variation method, and Moran index method to construct an urban resilience assessment model from three dimensions of society, economy, and infrastructure, and combined the NPP-VIIRS-like nighttime light data to construct the resilience index and the nighttime light index fitting model,so as to study the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of urban resilience and its correlation among 21 municipal-level administrative districts in Sichuan Province from 2010 to 2020.The study shows that on the time scale, the average value of the urban resilience index in Sichuan Province from 2010 to 2020 increases from 0.191 to 0.229,indicating that the resilience index of each city has small changes, but all of them have a certain degree of improvement. On the spatial scale,Chengdu City belongs to high resilience, and the rest of the cities belong to low resilience or lower resilience. The development of resilience presents a"circular"trend. After 2016,except for 2019,all other years show negative spatial correlation, and the spatial clustering phenomenon of most cities is not obvious. The resilience of Chengdu City continues to improve, and its influence on neighboring cities is characterized by the"siphonic effect".There is a positive relationship between urban resilience and nighttime light index, and the correlation coefficient R2 of the fitting model is 0.864.This study can provide data references and a scientific basis for the construction of resilient cities in Sichuan Province and disaster prevention and mitigation.
