Application of Model Updating based on Sensitivity Analysis in Isolated Bridge

Abstract：Based on sensitivity analysis for an isolated bridge, this paper presents a practical and user-friendly finite element model updating technique. The objective of the method is to minimize the difference of the natural frequency between the real date and the finite element model results. By means of a slight modification of the parameters which need to be identified, we can get a sensitivity matrix. then we can obtain the identify parameter by using a suitable optimization algorithm. The results indicate the model updating technique basing on sensitivity analysis can obtain a satisfactory result.
