The Wavelet Transform and Anomaly Extraction of Water Level Data

Abstract：By using wavelet analysis method, the paper processes the yongan water level observation data, and extracts the impending anomalies that exist in water level observation data before five times strong earthquakes surrounding the measuring point, The results show that there existed a certain degree of abnormal reaction before the strong earthquake in the water level data of Yongan station within 150 km away from Yongan station;the method can effectively separate out some high frequency information from the original data, and can get clear original trends of precursory data, which can make the identification of all kinds of short and long term anomaly before the earthquake easier in the future.
