Abstract:The paper uses the joint inversion method to determine the hypocenter location and velocity structure of Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi border zone (24o-26.5oN, 114o-117.8oE) . The results show that: ① the characteristics of the average depth of hypocenter in Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi border zone deepened with magnitude increases with the average depth not more than 15km, that is to say, the larger the earthquake magnitude, the deeper the focal depth, meanwhile, closer to the coast, earthquake focal depth deepen;②based on the studying of the seismic profile of Heyuan area, the middle (Xunwu-Ruijin) region of Shaowu-Heyuan fault zone, the middle region of Zhenghe-Dafu fault ( Zhangping nearby) and the offshore areas of Fujian and Guangdong, the author finds that the earthquakes often occurred in the binding site of the high and low speed anomaly.
