Analysis of the Six-Year Trend and Influencing Factors of Chronic Disease Prevention Literacy among Women in Fujian Province

Abstract:Objective:To assess the six-year trend and influencing factors of chronic disease prevention and control literacy among women in Fujian Province,and to provide data and strategic guidance for health education.Methods:A multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method was used to survey 9 504 female residents aged 15 to 69 in Fujian Province using the National Health Literacy Monitoring Survey Questionnaire.Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0.Results:There was a significant increase in the literacy of chronic disease prevention and control among women in Fujian Province,with the average literacy increasing from 11.81%to 26.04%,at an annual growth rate of 17.13%.Urban literacy increased from 20.25%to 31.41%,and rural literacy increased from 6.14%to 23.72%.Literacy among women aged 15 to 24 was higher than that among those aged 65 to 69(P<0.05),and there was a positive correlation between educational level and literacy(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that urban and rural areas,educational level,occupation,and annual income are the main influencing factors(P<0.05).Conclusion:It is recommended to carry out more targeted health skills and chronic disease prevention education activities for women in rural areas,the elderly,those with lower educational levels,and low-income groups with lower literacy.
