The Application of Problem-Discussion-Guidance Teaching Method in the Training of First-Aid Skills of Nursing Students in Emergency Department under Ideological and Political Perspective

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of Problem-Discussion-Guidance(PDG)teaching method under ideological and political perspective in the process of first-aid skills training of nursing students in emergency department.Methods:A total of 74 intern nursing students who interned in the emergency Department of Deyang People's Hospital from January to December 2023 were selected.Those who interned from January to June 2023 were included in the control group(37 students),while people who interned from July to December 2023 were included in the observation group(37 students).The control group implemented the conventional teaching mode,and the observation group implemented the problem-discussions-guidance(PDG)teaching method based on the control group.The professional identity,humanistic care ability,graduation assessment and teaching satisfaction between these two groups were compared.Results:After intervention,the scores of all dimensions and total scores of professional identity in the observation group were higher than the control group,the humanistic care ability Evaluation Scale(CAI)scores and total scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,the theoretical and operational test scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,the theoretical assessment result,practical assessment result and teaching satisfaction of the observation group were higher than the control group,and the difference were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The application of PDG teaching method from ideological and political perspective in the process of first-aid skills training of nurse interns in emergency department could effectively improve their professional identity and humanistic literacy ability,and their exam performance and teaching satisfaction are also high.
