Abstract:Objective:To investigate the efficacy of evolocumab in patients with coronary heart disease complicated by hyperlipidemia and its effects on proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9(PCSK9)and lipoprotein(a)[Lp(a)]].Methods:A total of 80 patients with coronary heart disease complicated by hyperlipidemia admitted to Xiangcheng Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected as study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group(treated with atorvastatin,40 cases)and an observation group(receiving evolocumab therapy in addition to the control group regimen,40 cases). The lipid levels,PCSK9 and Lp(a)levels, vascular endothelial function, and occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE)were observed in the two patient groups. Results:After treatment, the lipid levels and vascular endothelial function in the observation group were superior to those in the control group, and PCSK9 and Lp(a)levels as well as the incidence of MACE were lower than in the control group, with all differences statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Evolocumab effectively promotes recovery in patients with coronary heart disease complicated by hyperlipidemia.
