Abstract:Objective:To analyze the relevant factors and intervention measures associated with vascular cognitive impairment(VCI)in patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS).Methods:A retrospective analysis of clinical data from 90 patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS)admitted to Ruzhou First People's Hospital between January 2021 and December 2022 was conducted to assess the incidence of vascular-cognitive impairment(VCI)and identify risk factors contributing to its occurrence in this patient population. Results:Among 90 patients with AIS,23 developed VCI,with an incidence rate of 25.56%.The logistic regression analysis revealed that age>60 years, history of hypertension, history of diabetes, hyperlipidemia, temporal lobe stroke location, elevated homocysteine levels, elevated serum uric acid levels, and elevated C-reactive protein levels were independent risk factors for VCI occurrence in AIS patients(P<0.05).Conclusion:Patients with AIS have a higher risk of developing VCI,clinicians must prioritize high-risk individuals, implementing proactive, individualized interventions to safeguard patients' physical and mental health and improve their prognosis.
