Abstract:Objective:To observe the effects of task-oriented role-playing game teaching model on improving nursing staffs'scientific research ability. Methods:A total of 64 nurses were selected from 32 clinical departments in the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University(2 nurses selected from each department)in December 2021 as the research object and randomly divided into 16 groups, with 4 people in each group.Integrating with currently popular online games,4 team members were assigned as the roles of archer, mage, warrior and knight with different tasks. The scientific research skills training were conducted, including 5 topics,40 contents,28 class hours, lasting 5 months. One week after the training, with the provincial medical science and technology research project as the basis for simulated scientific research training,8 scientific capacities were summarized to conduct the project application writing and concluding defense. The audit team gives points and ranks according to the report and defense performance, and finally discusses the common problems existing in the audit process. Before and after the training, the changes of the level of research ability and the quantity of research output were assessed and compared. Results:After the training, the three dimension scores of research practice ability, professional and problem finding ability, and communication and coordination ability and total scores were significantly improved compared with those before the training, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).After training, research object paper and research application research output were significantly higher than that before training, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Applying task-oriented role-playing games to scientific research teaching can improve nursing staff's scientific research capacity and increase the number of scientific research outputs.
