Short-term and Long-term Curative Effect of Trastuzumab Combined with Paclitaxel for Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy in Breast Cancer

Abstract：Objective:To explore short-term and long-term curative effect of trastuzumab combined with paclitaxel for neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer(BC).Methods:A total of 80 patients with advanced BC positive for human epidermal growth factor receptor gene(HER-2)who were admitted to Xinyang Central Hospital from February 2021 to February 2022 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into the combined group and the control group,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with paclitaxel,while combination group was treated with trastuzumab combined with paclitaxel for neoadjuvant chemotherapy.All were treated for 6 cycles.The changes of serum tumor markers,immune function indexes and biochemical indexes before and after chemotherapy,occurrence of adverse reactions,short-term curative effect and long-term survival rate were compared between the two groups.Results:After chemotherapy,disease control rate(DCR)in combination group was higher than that in control group(P＜0.05).After chemotherapy,levels of carbohydrate antinegen(CA)153,carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),CA125,cluster of Differentiation CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,platlet factor(PF)4,midkine(MK)and lipocalin(LCN)-2 were reduced in combination group relative to the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).The 1-year and 2-year survival rate in combination group was higher than that in control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Short-term and long-term curative effect of trastuzumab combined with paclitaxel for neoadjuvant chemotherapy are significant in patients with advanced BC of HER2 positive,which can not only enhance immune function and reduce biochemical indexes,but also improve overall prognosis,with good safety and tolerance.
