Abstract:Objective:To analyze the efficacy and safety of compound furocin syrup combined with doxepin injection in treating children with wheezing bronchopneumonia. Methods:A retrospective analysis of clinical data from 92 pediatric patients with wheezing bronchopneumonia treated at Xinyang People's Hospital between September 2021 and August 2023.Patients were divided into a combination therapy group(treated with theophylline injection plus compound pholcodine syrup,47 cases)and a monotherapy group(treated with theophylline injection alone,45 cases). The efficacy, time to resolution of clinical symptoms(fever, cough, wheezing, pulmonary rales),and levels of inflammatory factors[granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF),C-reactive protein(CRP),soluble interleukin-2 receptor(sIL-2R),tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)],and the overall incidence of adverse reactions(constipation, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea)were compared between the two groups. Results:The overall response rate in the combination group was higher than that in the single-agent group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The overall incidence of adverse reactions showed no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with the single-drug group, the combination therapy group demonstrated shorter recovery times for constipation, dizziness, dry mouth, and nausea, along with greater improvements in CRP,sIL-2R,TNF-α,and GM-CSF levels, all with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compound Fucoside Syrup combined with Dose Theophylline Injection demonstrates significant efficacy in treating children with wheezing bronchopneumonia. This combination effectively alleviates clinical symptoms, reduces airway inflammatory responses, promotes recovery, and exhibits fewer side effects.
