Abstract:Objective:To analyze the effects of esketamine use during thoracoscopic lung nodule resection under general anesthesia.Methods:88 patients with peripheral pulmonary nodules admitted to the sample hospital from January to December 2023 were selected as study objects.Using a random number table, the patients were equally divided into a control group receiving sufentanil and a study group receiving esketamine.Respiratory, circulatory, and acute-phase inflammatory factor parameters were compared between the two groups. Results:The tidal volume(VT)and respiratory rate(RR)of the study group were significantly higher and faster than those of the control group at after laryngeal mask insertion(t1)and at skin incision(t2).The heart rate(HR)in the control group at t1 was significantly slower than at pre-anesthesia induction(t0),mean arterial pressure(MAP)was significantly lower, and oxygen saturation(SPO2)was significantly reduced at both t1 and t2.The SPO2 levels in the study group at t1 and t2 were significantly higher than those in the control group. The partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)at t1,t2,and end of surgery(t3)was significantly higher than that in the control group and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α),C-reactive protein(CRP),and interleukin-6(IL-6)levels between the two groups at t0(P>0.05).Both groups showed a marked increase at 24 hours postoperatively(t4),with the study group exhibiting lower levels than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of esketamine improves respiratory depression in patients undergoing peripheral lung nodule resection under general anesthesia with spontaneous breathing retention, maintains hemodynamic stability, reduces acute inflammatory cytokine levels, and promotes rapid recovery.
