Effectiveness of the Diagnosis-Code Mapping Model in Outpatient Coding

Abstract：Objective:Through the analysis of outpatient diagnosis data,to understand the non-standard status of outpatient diagnosis,and explore the solution for outpatient diagnosis name standardization.Methods:All the disease diagnoses in the outpatient system of a tertiary first-class hospital in Chengdu in the first half of 2021 were exported to more than 770 000,and the diagnoses were processed by improving longest common subsequence(LCS)and other methods.Results:The names of more than 450 000 undiagnosed diseases were mainly multiple diagnoses in one column,abbreviated or too detailed,English abbreviations,descriptive language,pending diagnosis,etc.Based on international classification of diseases(ICD)-10 rules and medical terms,the code expansion mapping was carried out with National Clinical Edition 2.0 as the master to carry out clinical training and establish the outpatient diagnosis and maintenance mechanism.Conclusion:It is needed to establish the clinical version of outpatient disease diagnosis code base of a tertiary first-class hospital in Chengdu,realize outpatient diagnosis statistics,standardize outpatient diagnosis quality,provide basic data support for outpatient disease general,prescription comment,infectious disease management,follow-up,rare diseases,ambulatory patient groups(APG)payment reform and other work,give full play to the value of outpatient medical records,better use of outpatient data to carry out related management work,so as to provide experience for the standardization construction of regional outpatient diagnosis.
