Abstract:Objective:To investigate the correlation between serum tumor marker expression levels and hepatitis B virus(HBV)-DNA load in patients with HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods:A study group of 100 patients with HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma admitted to Xinyang Central Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 was selected, and 100 healthy individuals undergoing routine physical examinations during the same period were chosen as the control group.Serum levels of tumor markers including alpha-fetoprotein(AFP),AFP isoform L3(AFP-L3),Golgi protein 73(GP73),and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),as well as HBV-DNA load, were collected from patients.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between serum tumor marker expression levels and HBV-DNA load.ROC curve analysis was used to evaluate the clinical diagnostic value of serum tumor marker expression levels and HBV-DNA load in HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma patients. Results:The expression levels of GP73,AFP,AFP-L3,and CEA were significantly higher in the study group than in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The HBV-DNA load in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Serum tumor marker expression levels in patients with HBV-associated hepatocellular carcinoma positively correlated with HBV-DNA load(P<0.05).The areas under the ROC curves for HBV-DNA,AFP,AFP-L3,GP73,and CEA in diagnosing HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma were 0.817,0.792,0.722,0.624,and 0.761,respectively.The combined diagnostic ROC curve area for HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma was 0.944.Conclusion:Serum levels of GP73,AFP,AFP-L3,and CEA in patients with HBV-associated hepatocellular carcinoma are positively correlated with HBV-DNA load, demonstrating good diagnostic value for HBV-associated hepatocellular carcinoma.
