Exploring the Analysis of HPV Infection Rate in Males in Meizhou Area and Its Impact on Semen Quality

Abstract:Objective:Exploring the analysis of human papillomavirus(HPV)infection rate in males in Meizhou area and its impact on semen quality.Methods:A total of 70 male patients who underwent HPV screening at the Reproductive Center of Meizhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from March 2021 to August 2024 were selected as the study subjects to calculate the results of HPV genotype testing,compare and analyze the differences in semen parameters between HPV positive and negative patients.Results:Out of 70 samples of male semen,10 cases were found to be HPV positive,with a detection rate of 14.29%.The forward moving proportion of HPV positive semen was higher than the HPV negative semen,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the normal sperm proportion of the HPV positive semen was higher than the HPV negative semen,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:HPV semen infection could affect various semen quality parameters,and active prevention and control of HPV infection should be taken.
