Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effects of pelvic floor muscle exercises combined with Zusanli acupoint massage on postoperative recovery in patients undergoing transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP).Methods:A total of 60 patients who underwent TURP at Ganzhou Hospital of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital between January 2023 and December 2023 were selected as study subjects.Using a random number table, they were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group received routine postoperative interventions, while the observation group underwent Zusanli acupoint massage in addition to pelvic floor muscle exercises. The International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),bladder function indicators, pain levels, complication rates, and quality of life scores(SF-36)were compared between the two groups. Results:The IPSS scores of both groups were lower postoperatively than preoperatively, and the observation group had lower scores than the control group, with a statistically significant difference(t=6.496,P<0.05).Postoperatively,both groups showed increased maximum urinary flow rate(MFR),average urinary flow rate(AFR),and detrusor pressure at maximum urinary flow rate(PdetQmax)compared to preoperative levels, and the above indicators were higher in the observation group than in the control group, with statistically significant differences(t=9.506,7.037,4.362;P<0.05).The visual analog scale(VAS)pain scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at different postoperative time points, with statistically significant differences(t=5.113,9.637,7.663;P<0.05).The postoperative complication rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(χ2=4.320,P<0.05).The SF-36 scores postoperatively increased in both groups compared with preoperative levels, and the scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(t=3.318,2.153,2.382,2.200,2.398,2.587,2.719,2.694;P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing pelvic floor muscle exercises combined with Zusanli acupoint massage offers distinct advantages in alleviating postoperative pain following TURP,promoting recovery of bladder and bowel function, and preventing urinary incontinence and bladder spasms. This approach comprehensively enhances patients'quality of life and holds significant clinical value.
