Effects of Shenqi Maiwei Dihuang Decoction on Lipid Metabolism and Inflammatory Factors in Obese Patients with Impaired Glucose Tolerance

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effects of Shenqi Maiwei Dihuang Decoction on lipid metabolism and inflammatory factors in obese patients with impaired glucose tolerance(IGT).Methods:A total of 80 obese patients with IGT were enrolled in the hospital from April 2023 to February 2024.Randomly divided into a control group(total sample size of 40)and an observation group(total sample size of 40).The control group was given conventional treatment,while the observation group was given Shenqi Maiwei Dihuang Decoction based on the conventional treatment.The glucose and lipid metabolism related indicators,inflammatory indicators[interleukin(IL)-9,IL-13,macrophage inflammatory protein(MIP-1 β)],and body mass index(BMI)were compared between the two groups.Results:Compared with the control group,the observation group had a higher therapeutic effect(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of glucose and lipid metabolism indicators,IL-9,IL-13,MIP-1 β,and BMI in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Shenqi Maiwei Dihuang Decoction can improve the therapeutic effect,improve the glucose and lipid metabolism,reduce the level of inflammatory factors and decrease the BMI in the treatment of IGT obese patients.
