Abstract:Objective:To analyze the risk factors for mortality in patients with upper gastrointestinal perforation, with the aim of providing guidance for clinical treatment. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 111 patients with upper gastrointestinal perforation admitted to the General Surgery Department of Anqing Municipal Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify the risk factors for mortality in patients with upper gastrointestinal perforation. Results:Among the 111 patients,17(15.3%)died.Univariate analysis showed that age≥65 years,albumin<30 g/L at admission, onset time≥24 h,and oral nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs)were factors influencing in-hospital mortality.Logistic regression analysis further confirmed that age≥65 years,albumin<30 g/L at admission, and onset time≥24 h were independent risk factors for mortality in patients with upper gastrointestinal perforation(P<0.05).Conclusion:Age≥65 years, albumin level<30 g/L at admission, and onset time≥24 h are significantly associated with in-hospital mortality in patients with upper gastrointestinal perforation.Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial for improving patient outcomes.
