Abstract:Objective:To investigate the hemodynamic effects of ultrasound-guided erector spinae plane block(ESP)combined with general anesthesia on patients undergoing thoracotomy. Methods:A total of 82 patients scheduled for open thoracic surgery at the Affiliated Hospital of Nanyang Medical College between January 2021 and May 2024 were selected as study subjects. They were randomly assigned by lottery to either the control group or the observation group, with 41 patients in each group. The control group underwent general anesthesia, while the observation group received ultrasound-guided ESP combined with general anesthesia upon entering the operating room. The intraoperative anesthesia conditions, hemodynamics, analgesic efficacy, and postoperative adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The frequency of intraoperative analgesic bolus administration, total anesthetic dosage, hemodynamic parameters at the start of surgery and 2 hours postoperatively, visual analog scale(VAS)scores and comfort scores(BCS)at 4 h and 12 h postoperatively, and incidence of adverse events were all significantly lower in the observation group compared to the control group, with all differences statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ultrasound-guided ESP combined with general anesthesia reduces intraoperative anesthetic consumption in open-chest surgery patients, provides effective analgesia, maintains hemodynamic stability, and results in fewer postoperative complications.
