Analysis of Self-care Ability Levels and Related Influencing Factors in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Foot Disease

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the factors influencing the self-care ability of patients with type 2 diabetes foot disease.Methods:A total of 86 patients with type 2 diabetic foot disease admitted to Ji'an Central People's Hospital from April 2023 to April 2024 were selected as the study subjects.The self-care ability levels of all patients were assessed using the Self-Care Ability Assessment Scale(ESCA).A baseline data survey form was designed to collect detailed baseline data on all patients.The ESCA scores of patients with type 2 diabetic foot were compared based on different data characteristics,with a focus on analyzing the factors affecting the self-care ability of patients with type 2 diabetic foot disease.Results:Multivariate linear regression analysis revealed that low self-efficacy,low social support,negative emotions,and low cultural level were all factors influencing self-care ability in patients with type 2 diabetes-related foot disease(P<0.05).Conclusion:Patients with type 2 diabetes-related foot disease have low self-care abilities,which may be related to low self-efficacy,low social support,negative emotions,and low cultural literacy.
