Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of risk management model based on modified early warning score(MEWS)in children with bronchiolitis. Methods:From February 2022 to February 2024,60 children with bronchiolitis admitted to Zhumadian Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were taken as the objects. All selected cases were randomly assigned to control group(n=30)and observation group(n=30).The children of control group were provided with conventional care, and the children of observation group adopted MEWS-based risk management care. The children's recovery status, complication incidence, comfort level, quality of life and the satisfaction of the children's family members in both groups were compared. Results:The observation group achieved better rehabilitation status than the control group after nursing, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);compared with the control group, the observation group obtained lower incidence of complications, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the observation group had higher General Comfort Questionnaire(GCQ)score,Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory(PedsQL)4.0 score and satisfaction of the children's family members compared to the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:MEWS-based risk management model can accelerate the recovery of children with bronchiolitis, reduce the incidence of complications, improve the comfort and quality of life of children, thus enhancing the satisfaction of their family members.
