Effects of Diversified Health Education on Anxiety,Depression and Disease Uncertainty in Elderly Patients Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

Abstract:Objective:To study the effect of diversified health education on anxiety,depression and disease uncertainty in elderly patients after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods:By using the convenience sampling method,88 elderly patients with coronary heart disease who to underwent PCI in the cardiology department of a tertiary hospital in Jiangxi Province from November 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the research subjects.From November 2022 to December 2022,44 cases of routine health education were selected as the control group,and from January 2023 to March 2023,44 cases of diversified health education were selected as the experimental group.The change of anxiety,depression and disease uncertainty before and after intervention were compared between these two groups.Results:After the intervention,the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group,while the disease uncertainty score and other dimension scores of the observation group was lower than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of diversified health education could effectively improve anxiety,depression and disease uncertainty in elderly patients undergoing PCI.
