Abstract:Objective:To detect human papilloma virus(HPV)infection in women in Hohhot, and to explore the HPV prevalence and its correlation with cervical lesions in this area. Methods:From May 2021 to May 2022,10 855 women who visited the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region Maternal and Child Care Hospital for HPV genotyping test were recruited. The basic clinical information and cervical cytology detection outcomes were combined to analyze the situation of HPV infection in this region. Results:Among recruited women, the prevalence of HPV was 26.95%,of which the rate of single type was 19.10%,and the combined infection rate of two or more subtypes was 7.84%.Among the high-risk subtypes infections, the top three genotypes were HPV 52(4.93%),HPV 16(4.74%)and HPV 58(3.33%);HPV prevalence in different age groups were significantly different. The positive rate was significantly higher in the age groups of≤20 years and≥65 years old.The percentage of abnormal cervical cells in the positive population was 30.7%,of which ASC-US accounted for 20.39%,ASC-H 1.64%,LSIL 5.93%,HSIL 2.6%,atypical glandular cell disease 0.18%.Conclusion:The overall HPV prevalence in Hohhot is relatively high, and the high-risk genotypes represent the main infections. There is still a high risk of acquiring cervical cancer, and HPV screening and cervical cancer education have a long way to go.
