Abstract:Objective:To explore the causes of challenging-obstructive stress for pediatric medical staff in the post-epidemic era,and to analyze relevant solutions. Methods:From December 2022 to May 2023,25 pediatric medical staffs in Yudu Second People's Hospital were selected as the research object. The Challenge-Hindrance Stress Assessment(CHSA)and one-on-one interviews with medical staffs were conducted to identify challenging and hindering stressors. In addition, the working status and observation indicators of medical staff before the management reform(December 2022 to February 2023)were taken as the control group, and the working status and observation indicators of medical staff after the management reform(March to May 2023)were taken as the observation group. The burnout scale(MBI-GS)scale,psychological capital questionnaire score, emotional intelligence scale score, and Utrecht Work Engagement Scale(UWES)score were compared. Results:Among the 25 healthcare workers,15 had CHSA scores<60 points and 10 had CHSA scores≥60 points.Comparisons were made in terms of children, marital status, average weekly working hours, and daily sleep duration, and all differences were statistically significant(χ2=1.779,9.375,21.212,7.843;P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis results showed that children, marital status, average weekly working hours, and daily sleep time were all causes of challenging and obstructive stress among pediatric healthcare workers in the post-pandemic era(P<0.05).The MBI-GS score and psychological capital questionnaire score of the observation group were lower than the control group, emotional intelligence scale and UWES scores were higher than the control group(t=10.320,10.631,13.544,11.636;P<0.001).Conclusion:In post-epidemic era,the causes of challenging-obstructive pressure of pediatric medical staff are mainly related to children, marriage, positions, average working hours per week, and daily sleep time.Reasonable reform and intervention can significantly improve the burnout state and negative mood of pediatric medical workers, and improve their work input.
