Abstract:Objective:To analyze the relationship of peripheral blood lactate/creatinineratio(Lac/Scr),C-reactive protein/albumin ratio(CAR)and red blood cell distribution width/platelet ratio(RPR)with disease progression in patients with sepsis. Methods:The baseline data of 80 patients with sepsis in the hospital from February 2022 to January 2024 were selected for retrospective analysis.According to the disease severity of patients, they were divided into mild-to-moderate group(n=51)and severe group(n=29).The clinical data and laboratory indicators, peripheral blood white blood cell count(WBC),hemoglobin(Hb),total bilirubin(TBIL),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),Lac/Scr,CAR and RPR,were compared between groups.Binary Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of disease condition of sepsis patients. Results:There were no statis-tical differences in baseline data such as gender, body mass index, hospitalization time, infection site, place of residence,WBC,Hb,TBIL,ALT,AST and Scr between groups(P>0.05).The age of patients in mild-to-moderate group was younger than that in severe group, and the peripheral blood Lac,Lac/Scr,CAR and RPR were lower than those in severe group the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.05).Regression analysis result showed that age≥50 years old, high acute physiololy and chronic health(APACHEⅡ)score and high peripheral blood Lac/Scr,CAR and RPR were independent risk factors for the disease aggrava-tion of sepsis patients. Conclusion:The disease severity of sepsis is closely related to the peripheral blood Lac/Scr,CAR and RPR levels. The higher the peripheral blood Lac/Scr,CAR and RPR levels, the more serious the disease condition.Monitoring the pe-ripheral blood Lac/Scr,CAR and RPR levels can help predict the disease severity and changes of patients.
