Abstract:Objective:To explore the prevention of postoperative ureteral stenosis with different stent tubes after endoluminal lithotripsy for embedded ureteral calculi. Methods:Selecting 110 patients with embedded ureteral calculi who underwent endoluminal lithotripsy in Tianjin Beichen Hospital, and those who were left with double D-J tubes postoperatively were in the control group, those who were left with Polaris loop stent were in the study group,55 cases in each group.Comparing the improvement of symptoms, levels of inflammatory markers, incidence of postoperative ureteral stenosis, and quality of life during stenting between two groups of patients. Results:The scores of the study group patients in terms of urinary tract symptoms, pain status, overall health status, and other issues were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=4.785,7.297,4.920,15.366;P<0.001).On postoperative days 14 and 28,there was no statistically significant difference in platelet crit(PTC)and platelet levels between the two groups of patients(t=0.296,0.698,0.897,0.522;P<0.05);on postoperative days 14,the improvement of C-reaction protein(CRP),blood white blood cell(WBC),and urine WBC levels in the study group was better than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=11.320,6.972,3.492;P<0.001).The incidence of postoperative ureteral stenosis in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the quality of life(QOL)score of the study group was higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences(χ2=15.644,t=13.937;P<0.05).Conclusion:The postoperative insertion of Polaris loop stent in patients undergoing endoluminal lithotripsy for embedded ureteral calculi can reduce discomfort during stenting, relieve inflammation, reduce the rate of postoperative ureteral stenosis and improve the quality of life.
